Meet The Team
Sam Davies
Laser Systems & Restoration Specialist
Sam is a key technical operator at Manx Laser Restorations, working hands-on with fibre laser cleaning systems across industrial, automotive, and specialist restoration projects.
He is responsible for machine setup, calibration, and operation, ensuring the correct laser parameters are applied for each substrate and application. This includes power control, pulse configuration, scan patterns, and process consistency to achieve effective material removal without damaging the base material.
Sam supports live restoration work, customer demonstrations, and system handovers, applying real-world operational standards with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and repeatable results.
Founder & Director
I’m Nick Younge, founder of Manx Laser Restorations, based on the Isle of Man.
I am a British military veteran. After leaving the Army, I settled in Hereford and continued my public service with the Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, bringing my total time in uniform to 22 years across military and frontline emergency service.
That background shaped the standards I work to today — discipline, precision, safety, and doing things properly the first time. Those principles underpin every aspect of Manx Laser Restorations, from specialist restoration work through to the supply of professional laser cleaning equipment.
Laser cleaning is highly effective, but only when the right system is matched to the right application and operated correctly. A core part of my role is ensuring clients have realistic expectations, select the correct equipment, and receive the guidance needed to achieve consistent, repeatable results.
Alongside delivering professional laser cleaning and surface restoration services, I also advise customers investing in laser equipment — covering system selection, power requirements, real-world performance, setup, training, and ongoing after-sales support. The objective is not simply to sell a machine, but to ensure it performs reliably in the customer’s working environment.
Manx Laser Restorations was established to offer something different: high-standard laser services and equipment backed by honest advice, correct setup, and dependable long-term support — not just a machine delivered in a crate.
Whether you’re commissioning specialist cleaning work or investing in your own laser system, the focus is the same: solutions that work, meet expectations, and deliver value from day one.
